01The Founding Vision
CARAVANT 26 is envisioned as the founding chapter of the platform: the first station of a travelling international public-art journey, developed to establish the edition model, the artistic standards and the collaborative framework that later editions would follow.
02Why Dammam
Dammam and the wider Eastern Province sit at a historic meeting point of routes, trade and communities on the Arabian Gulf. Its waterfront offers extended, walkable public space and an active civic life — conditions well suited to large-scale, site-responsive artwork designed to be experienced on foot.
03The Extended Art Pathway
The central artistic concept is a continuous pathway of connected artworks read as one journey rather than a series of separate pieces. The pathway remains an artistic concept under technical and operational development; scale, routing and sequencing are being studied with technical and municipal input.
04International and Saudi Artists
The programme is designed to bring international public artists together with Saudi and regional practitioners, working in proximity along the same route. Participation is not yet confirmed and no artist list has been announced.
05Public Interaction
Anamorphic and perspective-based works are intended to be completed by the viewer: the artwork resolves as people move, stand and photograph within it. Visible production, open access and interpretation are part of the experience.
06Cultural and Destination Value
The edition is being developed to generate cultural programming value, international visibility, local creative participation and a lasting public-space asset for the host city.
07Development Status
CARAVANT 26 is in its strategic development phase. Feasibility, technical review, site approvals, partnership structure and programme scope are all in progress. Exact dimensions, artist numbers, budgets and any record-related claims will not be published before verification and approval.
08Partnership Opportunities
Founding, host-city, cultural, strategic, production and media partnerships are open for discussion. Partners engaging at this stage help shape the founding edition of an international platform from its first station onward.
