Cities as Cultural Stages
Each host city offers its own architecture, light, materials and rhythm. Artworks are developed in response to that specificity, so an edition reads as part of the city rather than an import placed on top of it.
International Exchange
Artists from different regions work in proximity, sharing techniques, references and working methods. The exchange between practices is as much a part of the programme as the finished artworks.
Public Participation
Audiences are present while work is made. Visible process, open access and interactive artworks invite people to complete the piece by moving through it, photographing it and returning to it.
Long-Term Legacy
Every edition is designed to leave something behind: artworks, documentation, relationships, local capacity and a cultural reference point that outlives the programme dates.
